We booked a private guided tour with Audrey in northern Italy visiting Asolo, Verona, Varenna on Lake Como, St. Moritz in Switzerland, and Bellagio. Modes of transportation included private car with Audrey as our driver-guide, private boat, large car ferry, Bernina Express train, horse and carriage, and lots of our own feet! A nice mix of activities.
We enjoyed wine tasting in the Prosecco, Soave and Valpolicella regions. We also changed our view on grappa after touring Poli – a most excellent adventure! Art and gardens at various villas plus an architecture tour of an arena in Verona after a visit to Juliet’s house. We enjoyed Audrey’s driving and her company as she shared her favorite spots with us along the way. We ate things that surprised us (horse for instance and it does not taste like chicken) and went to places that we would never have found on our own.
The trip seemed as though there were two since we had the big gang for the first two weeks and just Rich and I for the last week. All the while Audrey was our constant guide and friend. The pictures she shared of the trip that she took for us were spectacular. Thank you for sharing your love of Italy with Rich and I. We are glad you followed your dreams to share your knowledge of: history, food, people, wine, customs, systems, transportation, and more. Your kindness and energetic passion for your tours and your guests has made for marvelous memories. Thank you for the gifts along the way..special scents of Rome, leather for Rich’s dresser and the wonderful treat from Asolo EVOO!
Wow! Audrey shared her love of the region of Friuli by taking us to family-owned producers of prosecco, wine, grappa. coffee, balsamic vinegar, prosciutto and more. No, we did not lose weight on this vacation........ We had a wonderful time, our fellow travelers were great, we had wonderful meals in small family-owned restaurants that you wouldn't/couldn't find on your own, including one in a renovated garage. That was a first for us! 🙂 Audrey is warm, friendly, caring, and creative when the weather doesn't cooperate - what more can you ask for.
We saw parts of Venice we never knew about although we've been there a few times already. She showed us where the real people live, where and how they work. We went to one of the islands that 99% of travelers never go to. It was great!

Managing a group of 14 travelers is not an easy job, but Audrey did that and more with patience and resourcefulness. Our group had several people with complicated food restrictions, and Audrey made arrangements in advance for those people and double-checked to confirm at each restaurant that we visited. Reservations were made and facilitated, local guides were provided, and unique experiences were offered. Audrey was able to gracefully change plans as the group’s needs changed. Audrey was always cheerful, kind, and caring, as she adjusted to individual group member needs. As a very seasoned traveler herself, with a command of the language, Audrey was a great leader for our group. We had good friends, good food, and amazing experiences. It was an amazing trip!
My husband and I recently returned from a two-week journey through Northern Italy to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. This represented the first time we rented a car in Europe and Audrey's recommendations, from where to rent, pick-up and drop-off, along with driving tips, made the journey much more enjoyable. Each hotel was perfect, ideally situated, and representative of its city. Restaurant recommendations were excellent and tips on what to do during our free time ensured we made the most of our experience. Even though we didn't have the joy of Audrey's companionship during this holiday, we felt she was by our side each step of the way. We look forward to our next adventures with Travels with Audrey! Thanks again Audrey - we couldn't have imagined a better way to celebrate 30 years of marriage.
A week to savor these amazing cities was a challenge and Audrey did not disappoint. She arranged accommodations, tours, and transportation for our small group of four. There is so much history, art, and food to savor in these cities. We really appreciated the local guides who tailored the tour time to match our pace and interests. Our highlights included the must-sees: Duomo and Last Supper in Milan; Uffizi Gallery, David at L'Accademia, and Duomo in Florence; St Mark's Basilica, and Torcello island with Venissa wine tasting in Venice. In addition to these places, we hit many unique out of the way spots - we especially enjoyed our hotel's rooftop pool with amazing views in Florence. With Audrey's guidance and arrangements, we were able to make the most of our time and truly enjoy the trip.
Friuli really is a hidden gem. In the foothills of the alps and the edge of the Adriatic Sea, the area landscape is beautiful It was especially enjoyable being in less traveled spots that were still full of history, art, and delicious food. Audrey was our local host and driver taking us to places in Trieste, Udine, Cividale, and Aquileia. We had a local expert guide who shared many interesting details and stories. Our travel companions were so much fun and we really appreciated everyone sharing pictures and deciphering menus at local restaurants. The accommodations were centrally located and run by a local family. Audrey was adept at adjusting the schedule when weather did not cooperate. The area was so beautiful, interesting, and not crowded that I'm honestly looking forward to visiting again.
Every day in Friuli and Slovenia was outstanding. We ate local food, drank local wine, and experienced culture that I would have missed had I tried to tackle a trip like this on my own. Our travelling companions made the trip even more delightful. The days were full, always ending with a wonderful dinner with our new friends. Audrey's expertise and engagement allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in this vacation without having to worry about logistics and planning. I also appreciate the flexibility to stop at a store or drop off laundry to add to our comfort. I remember in Venice walking past a large group wearing ear buds and following a leader holding a flag. My friend said "I will never take a tour where we have to follow a flag." I replied "And I hope to never have to drive a car in a foreign country." It was a much more pleasant experiencing listening to a local guide that Audrey connected us with, with the ability to ask questions and interact with our fellow travelers. Being part of a small tour group allows for a more immersive experience without the anxiety of handling logistics. Moreover, Audrey's energy and enthusiasm was contagious so we never had a dull day.

We took the small group tour to Carnival in Venice with Audrey and had a fantastical time. There were several group events that were fun and interesting, several separate things she planned for couples/smaller groups as needed and some unplanned time to do whatever we wanted. The mix was perfect for us. With so many different people and schedules, I can't understand how she did it all, but everything went smoothly and any hassles she may have encountered were invisible to us. She got us places and seats and reservations, etc. we wouldn't have been able to get as individual travelers. From there, we took a ski adventure to the Italian Alps without her, but planned by her. Again, everything went off without a hitch and the accommodations and recommendations were over the top. We avoid "tours" at all costs for the same reasons others avoid them, but this didn't feel anything like a tour - just a fun time with no stress and all the adventure you could ask for. Whatever trip you choose to include Audrey in, you will be glad that you did. She will be the first person we call when any of our upcoming travels cross paths with her area of expertise. Audrey was amazing! She was so easy to work with and helped us plan an incredible 11 day trip. She asked great questions to determine what we wanted out of our trip and then proceeded to plan it. We got to spend some time independently exploring and some time with her hosting, chauffering, interpreting, touring, and finding us great opportunities. We wanted very much to get to know the people and culture of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Audrey helped us do that in this less busy part of Italy. We went to the mountains, the ocean, the valleys, the plains of this region. We met people who made balsamic vinegar, wine, prosciutto, cheese, grappa, and gubana. We even rolled gubana. And we got to taste/sample all those products, and we learned about the passion these people had for their products and their homeland. We ate great food and tasted wine and grappa, and other liquers. We even had a zoom meeting with Audrey's husband to help us understand the WW1 history of the area, and discussed Italian politics and culture and history. Audrey got us to a post office and a supermarket and we had a blast learning about these everyday life parts of being Italian. Finally, this was a first visit for us to a place where my husband's grandparents lived 100 years ago and left when they immigrated to America. Audrey figured out people who could help us track down important people and places in our family. We got to see the church where his grandparents were married and baptized, a bar owned by his family, 2 family houses, and even some cousins we never knew he had. And she kept at it after our amazing 7 hour family history day, making contacts with additional family members and making sure we touched base with them. She then planned a 2 day "snapshot" tour of Slovenia, from mountains to sea. Audrey is easy to get along with, not shy about sharing her opinions, but so well read, intelligent, global, and interesting, she is easy to be with and has a great sense of humor. The guides she arranged had excellent English, were fun and interesting and found a way to give us nuggets of information that was just the right amount. The lodgings were perfect: not super fancy, but just right for us, clean, convenient, friendly hosts; comfortable beds with great housekeeping and good air conditioning/heating. All of them had delicious, generous breakfasts served which often allowed us to eat only twice a day. We could have done this trip by ourselves, but it would have taken hours and hours of planning and we would in no way had the relaxation we had or the in depth experiences that allowed us to really participate in the world of the FVG region. We are excited to return. We would recommend Audrey whole heartedly and without reservation for the amazing trip she helped us experience.

Awesome is the word I would use to describe our trip to Italy. My husband and I enjoyed a private 8-day tour of Piedmont with Audrey as our planner and driver-guide. She did a superb job of getting to know our likes and desires and transforming them into the trip of a lifetime. Audrey's expansive personal knowledge of the area enabled her to create a very personal and unique experience for us. We drank wine with winemakers, ate meat with the butcher, met the sheep from which our cheese was produced - - and the list goes on. Through her carefully curated and well-planned itinerary, we were able to gain a true appreciation of the area's culture, people, and cuisine. It was an outstanding experience and one I would highly recommend.

We had the honor and blessing of Traveling to Italy in May for a 14 day trip. It was one of my family's dream vacation and Audrey played a great role in making that dream come true. We wanted to have a private road trip through Northern Italy. Audrey planned everything to perfection. Hotels were all boutique hotels with nice accommodations and nice buffet breakfasts in the morning. She created a perfect itinerary from a private boat tour on Lake Como, to hiking in the Dolomites, private walking tours of Trento, Venice, Verona, culinary experiences, private boat tour of Venice islands, hiking tips in Cinque Terre, tour of Duomo in Milan, preferred entry to view Last Supper in Milan. Our ride was spacious and Audrey as our driver-guide made nice detours along the way to show more local culture, food, agriculture and historical sites. Audrey has extensive knowledge of Italian culture, history, architecture and excellent food recommendations. Her input on food is invaluable and she made reservations at several of the best local restaurants off the beaten path. Audrey is fluent in English, Italian, French and German, so throughout the trip we had no problem with not knowing the language. I strongly recommend her for the most memorable trip of your life.

From the very first Zoom call together, we knew we were going to enjoy working with Audrey to plan our month in Italy! She listened to what we wanted from our vacation and helped us to create an itinerary that was filled with unique experiences, including an unforgettable cooking class in the hills of Tuscany, truffle hunting in the pastures of Umbria, a beautiful day in the Swiss Alps, and a truly memorable day at a Goat cheese farm. Her network and selection of knowledgeable guides for our private tours in Venice, Tuscany, Rome and Amalfi Coast were excellent. We can’t thank you enough for all your planning and recommendations! You are truly a gem! The hotels, the drivers, the tour guides were all top notch! Our hotel in Sorrento truly has the million-dollar view and our hotel in Rome was awesome! Perfect location, very accommodating, close to 3 of our favorite restaurants - best food in Rome! Love the bakery across the street!!!! We had a great experience in our father’s hometown of Montemiletto, our driver was fantastic and talked to the locals and helped my dad learn some great information - truly exceeded his expectations! Overall, I would say a 9.9!!!!! Thank you again - a vacation full of wonderful memories! When we decide to visit again, I will be sure to reach out!

Our trip to Friuli with Audrey and Manlio was incredible! We have had the most memorable trip to beautiful Italy, made all the better by working with Travels With Audrey. We were keen to explore the region of Friuli and the region surpassed our expectations. Experiencing the history, cuisine and wine of this special region was a daily joy. Having Audrey and Manlio as our main guides made all hassles and irritations of international travel melt away as we were effortlessly transported to our tours, meals and activities. The hotels arranged by Audrey were beautifully appointed and perfectly located. We found the pre-trip booklet very helpful in planning for and packing for the trip. She crafted a perfectly paced journey, hired wonderfully educational and knowledgeable guides and attended to all our needs along the way. Traveling with Audrey is no ordinary kind of guided travel. Although it can be “interesting” to see the sights that all tourists “should see” (according to tour companies and travel books), I look for more than that. I want to experience what living around those sights is all about – the land, the people, the history and the connection between these that results in different cuisines, traditions, and cultural ways. And that’s what makes Audrey a one-of-a-kind tour manager for me. Because that’s just what she delivered. If you’ve ever visited family/friends in another country who have shown you around, taken you to their favourite places and given you some background into what you were seeing (and did all the driving and talking to locals!), then you know what I mean. It’s a kind of deep immersion into more of the life a local person experiences.
For example, we were in a shop in Italy where all kinds of pasta and sauces were sold. The shop owner clearly was passionate about the products she was selling, as evident by the dialogue between her and Audrey (who btw, is also an enthusiastic foodie!). I tried asking about the pasta, but the shop owner’s English was very limited, and I have no Italian. She struggled to find even a few words to explain which pastas went with what sauces. Audrey came over and with her help translating, I was able to learn so much from the shop owner. Afterwards, she even remarked to Audrey how nice it was for her to be able to explain in greater detail what I was looking at. And that is something that would not have happened had I been on my own or travelling with a tour company on a preset itinerary. Her amazing ability to flip between several languages, her extensive and personal knowledge of the areas, its history, her ability to connect with locals and let's not forget her incredible driving skills in the mountains and narrow city streets have made this a trip of a lifetime! No stress, no hassles, less crowds. Travels With Audrey has my highest recommendation!

Our small group of eight saw Paris and Provence in 10 days with each day full of adventure and new experiences to our senses. This was our second trip using Audrey as our traveling guide. Our first trip was to Italy and with our 12 year old son. We did not hesitate to sign up for Audrey's small group tour to France when we received the information. Audrey is not just a guide, but becomes a friend who advocates for her guests.
Audrey speaks 5 languages and has much knowledge about the places she takes her guests. When you travel with Audrey ALL logistics are taken care of. She is very detailed oriented and ensures that each guest is comfortable. Her trips are smooth and seamless. Tickets for museums and other events are purchased in advance and Audrey's group is ushered in; not waiting in long lines. Audrey hires expert tour guides for museums and villages who enrich your experience and bring history back to life. In France, we visited some main attractions, but then dove deep off the beaten path to feel the pulse of daily life in quaint villages. I liked it that in Provence we stayed in one Inn as our base camp and then drove to different villages from there. It was a comfort to have such a beautiful Inn to call our home for seven days while in Provence, where each guest had their own veranda. We enjoyed ancient Roman ruins, places where Van Gogh lived, open air markets, medieval castles, and a day on the Mediterranean in a boat swimming and exploring the Calanques. We learned about French wines and olive oils. We visited a beautiful lavender store where we learned about the different lavenders. Audrey knows how to put a trip together and is tuned into each guest to make sure everyone is comfortable. We are looking forward to doing more trips with Audrey.

Do yourself a favor and see parts of Italy that are usually passed over, Friuli and Veneto and they are uncrowded gems. We discovered Audrey’s website and reached out to her to see about a tour of parts of Italy that we haven't been to before. She contacted us and set up a video chat to discuss what we wanted to do and to see if her services matched our needs. We like to see not just the big sites but to experience the family-owned restaurants, hotels and the places that the locals know about but are not always visited by travelers. She took over and planned a 2-week trip for our group of 6. She was open to revisions and requests after productive discussions. Her suggestions included small intimate hotels and B&B’s with breakfasts. Nothing was left for us to do but sit back and enjoy our vacation in Italy. We went to places and sites that were unknown to us but we are so glad to have visited. While driving she explained everything that we saw or what we would see and their importance. We ate at restaurants that were locally owned and as far as I could tell only visited by people that lived close by. Every detail was thought out, anticipated and executed without exception and best of all she also became a friend. Audrey planned the most wonderful trip for us to Northern Italy. It was a dream vacation that will be hard to top. Her attention to detail, thoughtfulness and excellent communication made for a seamless vacation. Every day we kept saying "how are we going to top today's experience?" All of the foodie experiences were special, and the locals were so nice. The special tour guides that we had were top notch, fun to be with and really treated us with special care- and knowledge that we would never have learned on our own. The hotel recommendations were spot on! Beautiful boutique hotels and B&B's that had amazing views, great rooms, service, location and the best breakfasts with delicious pastries! Our group of friends enjoyed our second adventure with Audrey. She recently hosted my group of 7 friends/artists in her family region of Friuli, and it was wonderful. Audrey handles all the arrangements and drove us in a very comfortable van. The Friuli region in northeastern Italy is a gem, showcasing many off-the-beaten-path sites. We have travelled extensively and always organised our own travels but this time we wanted someone with local knowledge to design an itinerary to ensure we had a more authentic experience. I found Audrey via a Google search and we met via Zoom and explained what we were looking for. Audrey then designed and organized our custom tour for 3 weeks in Italy. We had the best time. Met some wonderful locals. The tour guides were always experienced and full of knowledge and passion. The weather was not in our favour some days and Audrey was available with alternative suggestions. If you are looking for someone to help you plan your Italy trip, Audrey is the one!
Audrey provided top notch services to us on our custom guided tour in Northern Italy. There was initial hesitation planning this with someone we did not know, however after the first zoom meeting with Audrey, we were sold! She was very professional, knowledgeable and eager to help plan and make our experience wonderful. She provided a LOT of information on the different regions, and details on what to bring / not bring, weather, taking the trains, tipping, etc. She took the time to really understand what we wanted to see and to get out of our Italian adventure. There were several features that we really liked about here services. She took us to areas that were not overly crowded but absolutely beautiful with lots to do. She booked us in boutique type hotels that were VERY nice. The restaurants she picked were outstanding. The private drivers she setup were on time, spoke English, very professional and super nice. The tour guides she setup for us were extremely knowledgeable and so friendly. There were NO issues and everything went very smoothly. We did not have any worries or stress. Audrey was so much fun to be with, we enjoyed shopping, cappuccino, and afternoon Aperitivo's with her. Lots of laughs and good times. The custom and personal attention you get from Audrey sets her above the rest. We highly recommend Travels with Audrey - you will not be disappointed.

"We just returned from a "Travels with Audrey" trip which began in Venice and took us to the region of Friuli. We visited the School of Mosaic artistry, got out into the rural areas, wine tastings, saw the hand-picked grapes harvested and in the transport trucks and of course a prosciutto tour and tasting. Sadly, we did not get to the Italian Alps as our van was assaulted by a flying piece of sheet metal which hit the hood and smashed the windshield. WE ALL praised Audrey for keeping control of the vehicle and NO ONE WAS HURT. The scenery was beautiful and the regional food and wine divine. This was a dandy way to celebrate 16 years together. We are blessed to share vacations to other cultures, being able to tour small rural towns, learning their history, and viewing the regional art through a context of time.
We had a family adventure with 13 of us in Italy, ages 1 to 67 years old, related as brothers, sisters, in-laws, cousins, and grandchildren. Audrey spent two weeks with the whole gang as our Tour Manager and then my husband Rich and I stayed on another week with Audrey to see sites in Northern Italy with her as our driver-guide. The whole trip was AWESOME. We made marvelous memories together. Audrey was terrific at meeting the needs of this diverse group. She took us to special spots that we had visited with her 5 years before. That is one of the reasons we selected her to help guide us and she far exceeded our expectations. She also added many new treasures to enjoy and share with each other. Audrey is organized, knowledgeable, fun, flexible, curious, thoughtful, energetic, discreet, adventurous, and sentimental. We enjoyed Audrey’s tour and her company as she shared her favorite spots with us along the way. Tomorrow night I am meeting with the family to begin planning a trip with Audrey to France in the fall!

Looking back over our itinerary and our 500+ photos from Audrey's first Friuli Small Group Tour which we enjoyed with 3 couples from USA, it's hard to believe that we fitted so many fabulous experiences into our seven night tour. We were based in the comfortable I Comelli Agriturismo in Nimis just outside Udine, the perfect location for our daily excursions to visit the exciting and surprising gems on Friuli Venezia Giulia. The region sits between the sea and the Alps and has a history dating from Roman times, and in more recent centuries intertwined with its northern neighbours. Audrey was a wonderful local host and expert driver. She proudly revealed the secrets of this magic part of Italy and also arranged for expert local guides for our amazing visits to places as varied as the Mosaic School in Spilimbergo to the breathtaking UNESCO heritage site at Aquileia. All this plus elegant Prosecco and grappa tastings, and visits to producers of San Daniele prosciutto and balsamic vinegar where we were hosted by charming enthusiastic Friuliani. This hidden gem of Italy is a secret no longer having been headlined in Times Square and, to our absolute delight, highlighted in Times Square and, to our absolute delight, highlighted in the Australian Gourmet Traveller magazine July'24 edition. It was a 5 star experience all the way. Our advice? Book now!"
We highly recommend Audrey and here’s why: During the planning phase of our trip we emailed back & forth a lot. We changed our entire itinerary from what we started with when we first met with Audrey to our final trip. Audrey was so accommodating with all of our “changing our minds” on where we wanted to go and things we wanted to see. She found new things to do when we went a new direction. Audrey planned the vacation exactly the way we wanted it. Every detail was planned out, up to personal drivers and personal tour guides. We didn’t have to worry about anything.She provided additional info for places to eat and things to see and she was always there if we had a problem or question while on our trip. The Personal Guides were outstanding-very friendly and knowledgeable and the tickets to bypass the lines were exceptional. Hotels were centrally located for easy walking and all very clean and friendly.
We really enjoyed Audrey taking us to the Venice that most tourist don’t get to see, especially our “Venetian Bar Crawl with wine and Cicchetti”. We were fortunately very lucky to have Audrey as our driver-guide from Rome to San Marino and eventually to Venice. She was a wealth of knowledge about the history of the area we were driving through. It was such a pleasure to work with Audrey: our trip was OUTSTANDING because of the care and personal attention she gave to us from our initial planning to our final itinerary.

My husband and I just completed a tour of Italy arranged with Travels with Audrey. Everything was perfect, I mean, really perfect! I’m sure Audrey even arranged the weather!! The hotel recommendations were impeccable, as were the restaurants, and each of our guides along the way was extremely knowledgeable, personable and such a pleasure to spend time with. It was a trip completed at our pace, acknowledging our wishes, but with some gentle (and much needed) guidance. We feel we’ve not only gained a real knowledge and understanding of the sights we’ve seen, but a real appreciation for the rich history of Italy and the lives of its inhabitants today. Some olive oil and a few pieces of ceramic have been picked up along our travels, as well as about 2,500 photos, but more than that, our lives have been enriched by our experience, and we’ve gained a new friend. Three friends and I joined Audrey on this small group tour to southern Spain and Madrid, and had a wonderful time. The trip was incredibly well organized, fun, and stress-free. Compared to other group tours I've been on, this one was top notch in every way. This was our first experience with using a travel planner and it was wonderful. Audrey came highly recommended by my parents who had recently traveled in Italy. There were 5 adults in our group and over 2 weeks we visited Milan, Cortina, Venice and Rome.
Audrey booked us in charming hotels in great locations that we never would have discovered on our own. She also booked our train rides and car transfers and wonderful guides for us for skip-the-line tours of local attractions and outdoor adventures. The whole trip was a great experience, but I think our overall favorites were the beautiful guided snow hikes in the Dolomites in Cortina.
With Audrey's help we had much less stress researching and trip planning and so much more fun while on vacation.

We are thrilled to have used Travels with Audrey. Our trip to France was a lifetime experience and it couldn’t have happened without Audrey’s expertise with the country and the culture. One thing we loved about our trip was Audrey’s knowledge of each region we went to and her connecting our group with locals who guided us through each region’s specialties. If we had been with a generic tour guide, we would have missed so much of the local culture and the highlights we had with each person that guided us. This also included the accommodations that Audrey set up - our hotels were all locally owned and the personal touch at each place was wonderful. I can’t imagine if we didn’t have Audrey to guide and drive us, how much we would have missed.
In addition, we had specific needs for our family while we were there that were difficult to accommodate. Audrey takes such a personal approach that our need for space and some privacy were provided beautifully and by the end of our trip, Audrey felt like our own family and that is just an intangible benefit of her personality and service. In June, Audrey led our group of 8 artist friends through the lovely towns of Provence, France. I asked her to help create a relaxing pace through the beautiful villages where artists historically came to paint and see the summer light of the Mediterranean towns. She helped choose the places to visit, chose a charming boutique hotel on the edge of St Remy, drove us, translated for us, and basically guided us through our experience at a relaxed pace. It was just perfect and Audrey is a charming and knowledgeable host. We took her recommendations for which towns to stay longer, where to eat (Audrey is a foodie!) and where the best shopping was. My family and I recently traveled to Italy with Audrey. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and all agreed that Audrey enhanced our trip way beyond anything we could have organized ourselves. Audrey is well networked with local hotels, guides and transportation services. What that meant for us, is that we got the best rooms in the hotels with views, we travelled in Luxury Mercedes vans and mini-buses with friendly, knowledgeable drivers. Our Guides to the many venues enriched our tours with their vast amount knowledge and enthusiasm. And they could get us in to venues skipping lines that were blocks long. Amazing!
All of Audrey’s contacts respect and adore her and make sure her clients get the best service. We went to many of the most well-known sights and places, such as Florence, Rome, the Vatican and Tuscany. However, we also went to many off the beaten track places that Audrey knew that were wonderful, such as lunch and wine tasting at the Chianti winery, a private dinner prepared by our own chef in Rome and to some Greek ruins that were incredible in southern Italy to mention a few.
I highly recommend Audrey. She is a warm gracious woman who works very hard for you and keeps your group organized. She saves you hours of logistics time, because she knows the regions and people well. Paying the money up front in the beginning was scary, but we had heard about her and took the risk. She really took care of us. Our family all agreed that our small group tour was far more satisfying than a larger tour could have ever been for not much more money.

We have used Audrey’s services twice in the past, once to Italy and once to Spain. Our most recent trip was to Spain and it also exceeded our expectations in many ways. First of all, individual travelers are different and have different needs. Audrey takes this into account and tailors the trip to the specific personality of the group. For example, our group had a mixture of adults, young adults and teenagers. Audrey arranged the transportation so that we were never rushed in the morning, had ample time to eat breakfast and set off to a day of sightseeing feeling rested and excited about the day. We visited all the typical tourist spots, but also had intimate “one of a kind” trips to a vineyard, sherry bodega, cooking class and olive oil factory. The longer drives were broken up by timely stops in unique towns. All this adds up to a one of a kind experience that really allows you to feel the culture of the country. We left the hotel planning up to Audrey and each hotel was centrally located, unique and clean. Audrey has extensive knowledge about the countries that she offers and a love for travel and the people. You cannot go wrong with a trip with Audrey. Try her once, and like us, you will be back for more.

My family just got back from a 10 day trip with Audrey to Spain and it was AWESOME!!!! I don’t think I’ll ever be able to travel again without her! Audrey took care of everything…hotels, transportation, obtaining tickets to sites, shows, etc., which left us to just enjoy our trip! We had told her in advance which activities and cities we were interested in and she made it happen. She was even able to squeeze in some extra activities (like wine tasting!) while we were there. Allyson and I were very impressed with our tour to Italy! We wouldn't have changed a thing!!! We loved our hotels from the staff to the hotels and fabulous breakfast buffets. Our views from each of them were wonderful...especially the one in Rome. The nearby restaurants were superb. Audrey's enthusiasm, attention to details and sweet surprises made each day very special: the musicians on the gondola ride, the wine and appetizers on the balcony, the chocolate candy on the bus and the rooftop wine tasting (what a view). Thank you, Audrey for the “perfect tour” of Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy. Our merry little band of “over 70” year olds would have never made this trip on our own, nor would we have tolerated a big bus tour. Your planning, time management and adjustments to our daily needs and itinerary were invaluable. We especially enjoyed your personalized booklet as it was a great resource for our pre-trip travel planning. The daily tour information with history and highlights of all our destinations was also very helpful. The museums, boat and train rides, castles, wine tastings and your little surprises were enjoyed by all. Most of all we got to enjoy these countries through all the food experiences you planned. The Parmigiano-Reggiano, Balsamic Vinegar and Prosciutto tours were all interesting and tasty.
Speaking of food, all the restaurants you took us to for lunch and dinner were over the top when it came to ambiance, scenic views and crazy good food. We dinned everywhere from a ski gondola to a wine cave to hillside restaurants – fantastic. These are just a few of the reasons we chose you for the second time to guide us on our lengthy tour. Lastly, thank you for driving us over 2,200 miles, through 4 countries, in a span of 3 weeks so we could enjoy the beautiful countryside of these amazing countries….and did I mention the FOOD. This was a once-in-a-lifetime trip for us that we all enjoyed and could not imagine entrusting anyone but you with coordinating this trip. You have spoiled us rotten when it comes to traveling.
