Welcome Into My Life in Northern Italy

When I first moved to Northern Italy, I didn’t come here to start a travel business.

I came because I fell in love with the way life is lived here.

Over time, the friendships, traditions, and places that were part of my everyday life naturally became the experiences I now share with guests.

You’re not just visiting Italy. You’re stepping into it.

When you travel with me, you’re not seeing Italy through an itinerary.

You’re experiencing it through relationships.

The winemaker welcoming us into his cellar.
The chef preparing a meal the way her family always has.
The conversations around the table that linger long after dinner.

Those are the moments that stay with you.

Imagine Your Italy

Before some of my guests book a journey with me,
they spend time imagining what it might feel like to experience Italy differently…
Slower mornings, conversations that stretch long past dinner,
and places where you’re welcomed not as a tourist, but as a guest.

If Northern Italy is somewhere you feel drawn to,
I’ve created a short guide to help you begin exploring the region I call home.

Travel Hosted by Someone Who Lives Here

Northern Italy is not simply a destination for me. It is home. Because I live here, the journeys reflect the people and places that are part of my life.

Hidden Places Most Travelers Never Discover

We travel back roads, small towns, and villages that larger tours simply cannot reach. This allows you to connect to the local culture, experiencing Italy away from the crowds.

Real Connections Built on Local Relationships

Many of the people you meet are friends and partners I’ve known for years. These local winemakers, chefs, guides, and artisans warmly open their doors to welcome you.

A Small Group That Feels Like Friends

Each journey is limited to just 6–7 guests, allowing us to visit hidden gems, enjoy intimate dining experiences, and travel comfortably at a more relaxed and meaningful pace.

A Journey from Arrival to Farewell

Before You Even Arrive

Once you decide to join one of my journeys, the experience begins before you step on the plane.
We connect personally on a zoom call so you can meet your fellow travelers and I can answer any questions you may have.
By the time you arrive in Italy, you already feel like you know the people you’ll be traveling with.

The First Evening

Our journeys always begin slowly.
Perhaps with a glass of wine overlooking the hills, or a simple dinner at a place I love.
The first evening is about settling in, relaxing after travel, and beginning to get to know one another.
By the end of the night, something special starts to happen.
Our group no longer feels like strangers.

The Days That Follow

Each day unfolds naturally.
A visit to a family winery where the owner greets us like old friends.
A long dinner at my favorite trattoria or osteria where the stories flow as easily as the local wine.
A quiet village where life moves at a rhythm that feels wonderfully unfamiliar.
We travel slowly enough so that you have time to truly absorb each place.

Somewhere Along the Way

Guests often tell me there is a moment when something shifts.
It might be a conversation around the table.
Or walking through a small village where everyone seems to know one another.
Suddenly you’re no longer just traveling through Italy.
You feel part of it.

The Last Evening

Our final evening together is always bittersweet.
By then our group feels more like friends than fellow travelers.
We share one more meal, often lingering long past dessert.
And when it’s time to say goodbye, we leave not just with memories — but with connections that last long after the journey ends.

Small Group Journeys are designed for people who:

Enjoy discovering places beyond the typical tourist routes

Appreciate great food, wine, and discovering cultural traditions

Love meeting locals and hearing their stories

Value slow, meaningful travel over checking off landmarks

Want the ease of a hosted journey without feeling like you're on a “tour”

Like traveling with a small group of curious, like-minded people

These journeys may not be the right fit if you prefer large group tours or fast-paced sightseeing schedules.

My Promise When You Travel With Me

IMG-20250919-WA0006

When you join one of my journeys, my goal is simple.
I plan each journey like we are hosting our closest friends.

I want you to experience Northern Italy in a way that feels genuine, relaxed, and personal.

An opportunity to visit places most travelers never discover.
Meeting with locals whose stories bring Italy to life.
Enjoying meals and traditions rooted in regional culture.
Traveling at a pace that allows you to truly enjoy each moment.

Leaving with a deeper understanding of the real Italy and its culture.
And most importantly,
where you feel welcomed, not guided.

~ Audrey

What Guests Often Say about our Cultural Journeys

It is so stress free to have someone who has taken care of all the travel arrangements. You can just relax and enjoy. While we want to see the main attractions, we also want to get a more personal feel for the places where we visit. With Audrey's connections, we get to see and experience things that most tourists don't even know exist. I would highly recommend Travels with Audrey!

We took the small group tour to Carnival in Venice with Audrey and had a fantastical time.  We avoid "tours" at all costs for the same reasons others avoid them, but this didn't feel anything like a tour - just a fun time with no stress and all the adventure you could ask for. Whatever trip you choose to include Audrey in, you will be glad that you did. She will be the first person we call when any of our upcoming travels cross paths with her area of expertise. Audrey, many thanks for a magical Carnival experience.

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful week with Audrey and six other terrific, intrepid travelers. Audrey was (and is) incredible. She provided us with a very special trip. From gastronomic delights to insightful views into the region and its people and history. From wine tastings to mountain lakes. The trip, thanks to Audrey, was fabulous, and we look forward to more travels with Audrey.

Questions Guests Often Ask Before Joining a Small Group Journey

Thinking About Traveling with Me?

IMG-20241004-WA0011

Most people who join one of my journeys begin exactly where you are now — curious and imagining what it might feel like to experience Northern Italy in a more meaningful way.

Before anyone books, I always suggest we have a conversation.

It gives you a chance to ask questions, learn more about the journeys, and see if this style of travel feels like the right fit for you.

And it allows me to get to know you as well — because the people who travel together on these journeys truly become part of the experience.

There is never any pressure.
Just a friendly conversation,
Like you’re talking to a friend.

*Most journeys are limited to
just 6–7 guests and often fill months in advance.
